This San Diego band began composing and performing songs for church services in California in 2007. In 2008, the band co-produced with Connie Barlow and Michael Dowd the first evolutionary revival, hosted by First Unitarian Church of San Diego. Participatory singing was encouraged by digital projection of song lyrics on a background of space photos (courtesy of NASA and other space telescopes) and earthly photos (courtesy of Connie Barlow). In autumn 2009 these digital slide shows became available online for free download, in Quicktime movie format or as the original Apple Keynote file. Financial DONATIONS are encouraged, especially from institutions that make use of these videos in contemporary church services or other venues.
If you would like to have sponsor a participatory program at your venue please contact Keith Mesecher, co-founder of Cosmos,
a group at the First Unitarian Universalist Church of San Diego (619-263-2165 or mesecher@cox.net).
Sing joyously and move to the up-beat, high-energy sounds of the Cosmic All Stars. Gaze
at beautiful pictures from the Hubble Space Telescope and of our magnificent earth. Learn
about this awesome universe.
We offer participatory celebration and storytelling as ways of bringing home the majestic story of the
evolution of the universe and our role in its magnificent unfolding. We lead singing of these cosmic love
songs, with words projected on beautiful photographs from the Hubble Telescope and of our beautiful
earth. We offer this for church services, concerts, and special events.
